Hi, my name is Brad Moodie and I live in Playas Del Coco, Guanacaste, Costa Rica. I am originally from Dundee in Scotland and I lived in Calgary, Alberta, Canada from 1997 to 2008. I play trumpet & bass, specializing in jazz, swing & bossa nova, but I also enjoy pop/light rock and latin music such as salsa, merengue, cumbia and latin pop. In December 2008 I decided to move from Calgary in Canada to Costa Rica. It was a bit scary at first but Costa Rica is an easy place to move to because of it’s friendly people. I’ve always had lots of locals eager to help & assist me without looking for anything in return. I decided to live in Playas Del Coco, Guanacaste. I really like it there because of the hot sunshine, relaxed lifestyle and happy people. There are also several places where I play live music with my band Los Mojitos. I also have a blog called Brad Reviews Costa Rica where I provide information for people who are interested in visiting or moving to Guanacaste in Costa Rica. I discuss the best restaurants, gyms, weather, language and other important points about life in Costa Rica. I continue to manage 'Round Midnight in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This is a jazz trio or quartet of saxophone, guitar or piano, bass & drums playing easy listening jazz music for wedding cocktails, corporate events and private parties in Southern Alberta.
